Maintenance and Grounds Manager


    The Maintenance and Grounds Manager is responsible to serve the church by maintaining its facilities and grounds with excellence to facilitate Christian ministry for the glory of God.  


  • The candidate must be at least twenty-five years of age, and be subject to all background checks.  
  • The candidate must possess a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent); an associate‚Äôs degree or vocational training is preferable. 
  • The candidate must have at least four years of experience in maintenance or construction.  He or she must be familiar with plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and other basic vocational skills; and also, be able to communicate by email, phone, and text. 
  • The candidate should be able to lift 75-100lb, and be able to walk, sit, or stand for 2-4 hours. 
  • The candidate must be people-oriented, trustworthy, punctual, organized, self-motivated, and positive. He or she must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, have the ability to work well with others, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Perform routine maintenance duties throughout the building and grounds of the church campus. Examples include changing light bulbs and fixtures, replacing air filters, repairing leaky faucets, occasional cleaning, oiling playground equipment, etc. 



  • Perform periodic duties throughout the building and grounds of the church campus, such as carpet cleaning, floor waxing, window washing, wall cleaning and painting, pressure washing, landscape trimming and weeding, snow and ice removal, etc. 
  • Perform room and furniture rearrangements, such as resetting the fellowship hall with tables and chairs for events, resetting classrooms, resetting sanctuary platform, setup for special events, etc. 
  • Monitor and evaluate current facilities and equipment for issues that might be best served by an outside contractor, such as roofing and siding issues, cracked concrete, parking lot surfaces, equipment and appliance replacement, and severe electrical or plumbing issues, etc. 
  • Order and maintain all supplies, tools, and needed parts, within budget. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
